Mr. Umesh Menon was a Sr. Faculty Member of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, an International Expert for United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), UNDP, World Bank, USAID and European Union.

After completing his education with Masters in Commerce, Masters in Business Administration and qualifying as Certified Management Accountant, Mr. Umesh Menon worked with Government Organizations and Corporates in India before getting into academics, training, consulting and research. Mr. Umesh Menon has an overall work experience of 22 years.

Mr. Umesh Menon has been instrumental in setting up many Entrepreneurship Institutions in Asia and Africa to offer Business Development Services to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in those countries. To be specific, Mr. Umesh Menon has helped set up Entrepreneurship Centers in Mozambique, Laos, Vietnam, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Uganda. These centers were set up in collaboration with UNIDO and/or Government of India.

Mr. Umesh Menon has travelled over 60 countries around the world promoting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Private Sector Development, Entrepreneurship and Investments. He focuses on promoting new enterprises, strengthening existing enterprises, developing entrepreneurship linkages and supporting investment promotion agencies.

Mr. Umesh Menon is also associated with many innovative start ups in India, Mozambique and Uganda. He sits on the Board of 7 SME companies altogether in these countries.
